Marsha founded what is now Shafer Financial Services in 1992, after more than a decade in the corporate world. Her background in tax, finance, and accounting provides her with a comprehensive viewpoint on financial planning* - one that puts your investments strategies in balance with your overall tax picture. She specializes in tax reduction, wealth building, and retirement distribution; designing financial strategies personalized to your unique needs and goals.
Growing up in rural Wisconsin, Marsha learned lifelong values. Values like the importance of family and the hard work that is required to provide for one. Being a mother of three she has experienced firsthand the joy, the difficulty, and the unexpected - all the things a family needs to be prepared for. Working hard and having a good value system helped her to become the person she is today: a proud mother, grandmother, and successful businesswoman with a strong work ethic.
Marsha is involved in the local community, an active member of her church and serves on the hospitality team. Additionally, Marsha assists other Avantax Reps as a Mentor and Chapter Director.
Marsha is an Enrolled Agent, a Registered Representative, an Investment Advisory Representative, and licensed to sell life, disability, and long term care insurance.
