Chad officially joined Shafer Financial Services in 2005, but unofficially it was much earlier than that. His first duties included stuffing envelopes and backing up data on floppy disks. In high school his duties were a bit more complex and ultimately solidified his desire to pursue a career in public accounting. Throughout college you would find him working at SFS in the summer and on weekends during tax season.
Chad earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire, with a double major in accounting and finance. After graduation, Chad worked for a larger accounting firm in Minneapolis, and while there, achieved his CPA designation.
Chad is involved in his local community, most notably as a volunteer firefighter with United Fire & Rescue since 2004.
Chad and his wife, Stacy, have two sons, Chase and Brayden. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, and planning an occasional family trip to somewhere new.
Chad is a Certified Public Accountant, a Personal Financial Specialist, a Financial Advisor, and is licensed to sell life, disability, and long term care insurance.
