Chad officially joined Shafer Financial Services over a decade ago (in 2005), but unofficially it was probably closer to two decades. In a family business it’s all hands on deck, and Chad has been helping SFS whenever needed since its early days in 1992. (His first duties included stuffing envelopes and backing up data on floppy disks. In high school his duties were a bit more complex and ultimately solidified his desire to pursue a career in public accounting. Throughout college you would find Chad working at SFS in the summer and on weekends during tax season.)
Chad earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire, with a double major in accounting and finance. After graduation, Chad worked for a larger accounting firm in Minneapolis, and while there, achieved his CPA designation.
Chad is involved in his church and our local community, most notably as a volunteer firefighter, since 2004, with United Fire & Rescue in Baldwin, and is currently serving as Captain.
Chad and his wife, Stacy, have two sons, Chase and Brayden. They enjoy spending time together, watching the boys in their various activities, and camping with friends and extended family.
Chad is a Certified Public Accountant, a Registered Representative, and is licensed to sell life, disability, and long term care insurance.
